B2/Nuptse(7768m) at sunset,1994    Photography by Osamu Uchida

photography date : December 22, 1994.

Long cold photography on the hill(5200m,17060feet) beside Gorakshep(5100m,16732feet) was finished, and I had come back to the lodge in Gorakshep. I warmed a body with a cup of hot milk tea, and I was looking at the outside of the window.

It was a little dark now, and a cloud was flowing through the ground to the surroundings, and I couldn't see Pumori (7145m, 23442feet) and Nuptse (7768m, 25486feet).

The cloud flowing through the ground to crawl at that time broke, and Nuptse which was dyed pink, and Pumori could be seen momentarily.

But I was so tired. And I thought that the wonderful view of Nuputse disappear by a cloud soon. It became darker but I saw Nuptse once more.

I held a camera and a tripod, and jumped out of the lodge. Nuptse sometimes came to the sight from the interval of a cloud to flow.

I was in time.

Nuptse is located next to Mt.Everest, in Khumb Himar
